Red, White and Blue-isiana!

Happy Day-After-The-4th-of-July!

Just got back from a fun 4 day trip to Louisiana to visit some friends and we had a blast! We are kid-less this whole week so we decided to start off by heading to Lafayette to visit some friends for the 4th! We left on Saturday and got in around dinner time and of course as soon as I got out of the car I had to snap a picture. Obsessed with this house! #LouisianaLiving

Sunday morning we made our way down to Avery Island to tour the Tabasco Plant! They greeted us with a bag of sample size bottles! It was a nice little tour and I also learned HOW to spell Tabasco...

(I posted a picture to all social media accounts with the hashtag "Tobasco") #imsmart

Tabasco chandelier, anyone? :) After the tour, we ate lunch at the restaurant they had at the factory and I still can't get over how yummy that crawfish étouffée was! It. WAS. SO. GOOD. Did I mention I might have gained 17 pounds on this trip..?

Sunday afternoon another great friend made the trip from Baton Rouge to come hang out with us for Uncle Sam's Jam in downtown Lafayette!

Good times were had with these two that I love so much! Luckily we went to bed at a decent hour because Monday morning we woke up and went to NEW ORLEANS!!

I was SO excited to make it to New Orleans as I have NEVER been! Yes, I went to college in Louisiana for 5 years and no, I never made it down to NOLA!

Although we were regretting our bad decisions from the night before (haha) we managed to get down to New Orleans around 11am and eat some more YUMMY food at Acme and walked around Jackson Square, the French Market and of course.. BOURBON!

Loved everything about New Orleans and super excited to make it back again! Thank you to Chris and Chelsey, our gracious hosts for showing us around and letting us stay with them! We love y'all so much and its always a blast with you guys! This Lafayette/NOLA trip was one for the memory books!
